NNPC Assures 90% Refinery Capacity After TAM Exercise.

Recent reports at the ongoing international conference and exhibitions of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) holding in Lagos has revealed that the general manager, services of the NNPC, Mr Abubakar Muhammed has said that the ongoing Turn-Around-Maintenance (TAM) of the four local refineries will position the facilities to refine at 90 per cent capacity,
of which about 40 per cent of that capacity will turn out Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) known as petrol.

Mr. Muhammed, gave the assurance while delivering a speech at the conference, where he also said that additional refineries would be expected at the long and short term to increase nationwide refining capacity and domestic consumption.

The NNPC services manager further said, that the federal government was also committed to gas
development and reviving gas
infrastructure in the country. He said that the nation was in need of renovation and a petroleum industry law that would define the country’s future oil and gas production and
generation.
